RECYCLED CONCRETE IS A WINNER IN ATLANTIC CITY
Recycled concrete stands up very well according to demonstration pavements used in a medium-sized airport in New Jersey. These results should encourage highway engineers in agencies who are trying to deal with ever-heavier loads and increasing numbers of motor vehicles, including heavy trucks. Ten years ago at the Atlantic City International Airport in New Jersey, the Federal Aviation Administration built a number of demonstration pavements using recycled concrete. Today, the continuing success of those pavements points to the viability of recycled concrete for airport use.
