AN ECONOMICAL INVESTIGATION OF NORWEGIAN CONCRETE BRIDGES

NORSKE BETONGBROER-EN TEKNISK-OEKONOMISK ANALYSE 711F DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BRIDGE. FOR THE SUPERSTRUCTURE A

Based on cost-data from 20 selected bridges erected in the period of 1969-1974, the cost relations have been set up. The bridges were classified into different types, dependent on the cross-sectional shape and the erection procedure, and the total costs were separated into the costs of the different parts of the bridge. For the superstructure a relationship between the cost and the span width was found while the cost of the substructure was strongly dependent on the locations. Short recommendations for cost-estimation of bridges are given. /TRRL/
