RESPONSIBILITY OF HIGHWAY AUTHORITIES
This article briefly reviews court of appeal judgements in liability suits against highway authorities concerning: visibility in the placement of road signs, the repair of road studs, and the clearing of overgrown footpaths. The author concludes that as they stand, the laws concerning neglect, maintenance and repair, and liability in respect of these, are not sufficiently clear. /TRRL/
