REACTIONS IN THREE-GIRDER BRIDGE DECKS
The determination of reactions for three-girder reinforced concrete bridge decks by available methods is discussed. Tests conducted on four micro-concrete models of bridge decks are reported. Using the information gained from the tests and from a close study of the Hendry-Jaegar analysis, a simpler semi-empirical method for the estimation of reactions is derived. The results from the proposed method agree very closely with the measured values from the tests. /Author/ /TRRL/
