BRIDGE SUPPORT ECONOMY - A NOMOGRAPH
In the article a nomograph is derived which is designed to calculate the dimensions of a masonry/concrete trestle bridge support. The circular cross-section support is intended to have adequate strength for the load it is to support while using a minimum of material in its construction. /TRRL/
