URBAN PROBLEMS REVISED
In recent years, there has been an increasing public concern about urban problems and the quality of our living environment. This concern has expressed itself, for example, in the number of new courses in secondary schools and community colleges on urban geography, urban problems, and environmental planning. It is the primary purpose of this book to provide resource material for such courses in Canada. The nature of the book was determined by the interest and bias of the editors and the availability of suitable material. The papers differ greatly in length, complexity of ideas, and level and style of presentation. The range of papers includes newspaper editorials and news items, unpublished speeches, articles from professional journals, and papers written specially for this book. /TRRL/
