THE APPLICATION OF GEOPHYSICS TO GEOTECHNICAL STUDIES
APLICACION DE LA GEOFISICA EN LOS ESTUDIOS GEOTECNICOS
The main geophysical investigation methods are reviewed: magnetic, gravimetric, electrical, seismic and radioactive methods. Special mention is made of the electrical resistivity and seismic refraction methods, which are most used, and of techniques which show signs of becoming popular in the future, such as deep electrical sounding for the non destructive testing of roads. Geophysical control methods are reviewed together with their measuring devices to be used in a previously cut bore hole. /TRRL/
