REPRODUCIBILITY OF EXPERIMENTAL CONCRETE MIXTURES

REPRODUCIBILIDAD DE MEZCLAS EXPERIMENTALES DE CONCRETO

The aim of the investigation described was to evaluate the possibility of reproducing concrete mixtures in the laboratory with a view to obtaining a fixed standard. Five mixtures were prepared with special care as regards homogeneity. 12 cylindrical samples were prepared from each mixture, 6 of which were tested after 3 days and 6 after 28 days. The compressive strength values obtained led to establishing the possibility of reproducibility during manufacture, this is expressed in the form of a coefficient of variation. Another coefficient of variation expresses the variation between cylinders obtained from the same samples of mixture. /TRRL/
