THE THEORY OF AIR RESISTANCE CORRESPONDING WITH PRACTICE
LUFTMOTORSTAANDETS TEORI STAEMMER MED PRAKTIKEN
Deflectors mounted both on top of the cab and underneath the lorry are estimated to give fuel savings of around 10%. A deflector mounted only on top of the cab to deflect air from the area above the cab can give savings of about 4%. At 70 km/h, air resistance is reduced by 2.8% by using a deflector, while at 90 km/h the reduction is 4%. /TRRL/
