FRESH APPROACH BY ARENDAL TO TANKER ANCHOR ARRANGEMENTS
The 155 100 tdw (metric) tanker "Perseus" has a length oa of 285.00 m, a beam of 44.20 m, a draft (summer) of 17.07 m, and is powered by an eight-cylinder B&W-type K90GF diesel engine rated at 18 250 kW at trial speed of 16.5 knots. Cargo capacity is 188 086 cu m. The Perseus features a new anchor arrangement, evolved by Gotaverken, whereby the anchors are placed on deck, easily accessible for securing, cleaning, maintenance and inspection.
