TEITO RAPID TRANSIT AUTHORITY: OUTLINE
The Teito Rapid Transit Authority, which was founded in 1941, is one of the two firms responsible for the Tokyo Metro. TRTA's aim is to refine and improve transit infrastructures in Japan's capital city. This article offers an overview of the current situation facing TRTA. A special chapter is devoted to financial aspects. The article also reveals measures undertaken following the sarin gas attack that shocked Tokyo on 20 March 1995.
