PRACTICAL ALTERNATIVES IN STORM RUNOFF CONTROL
Several urban storm runoff delay or retention devices were investigated with regard to their effectiveness, practicality, and public acceptance. Special attention is being given to the situation in which existing urban development restrains the extent of improvements which can realistically be implemented. The measure considered and discussed include overland and underground storage basins, rooftop and parking lot storage, and infiltration- enhancement devices.
