THE DELAWARE EXPERIENCE

In this keynote address, the author, who is Secretary of the Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT), focuses on the relationship between the DELDOT and Delaware's metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs). She sees this relationship as one that has been a very positive relationship and that is continuing to improve as it evolves. She points out that Delaware, with a population of approximately 700,000 and only three counties and two MPOs, has a very manageable set of institutional relationships.
