WHY DAMAGING FUEL SPILLS COULD SOON BE ELIMINATED
New hydrants and bowsers are being designed to minimize the chances of fuel spills. This article looks at the latest innovations being developed for use at airports. Most fuel spills are blamed on a cause which is euphemistically known as human error. A survey by one airline, for example, found that over 80 percent of fuel spills during refueling were due to failures by the refueling operators.
