TRAVEL DEMAND MANAGEMENT - DEVELOPMENT OF AUSTRALIAN GUIDELINES
The national organization of Australian road authorities (Ausroads) commissioned the preparation of a TDM guidelines document. The guidelines provide an overview of the general TDM characteristics, and sufficient background discussion to enable readers to gain an understanding of TDM, why the need for TDM has arisen, and the fundamental objectives of TDM programs. A comprehensive list of TDM measures is provided, together with performance and evaluation criteria, and examples of TDM measures which have been implemented in Australia and overseas.
