GUIDELINES FOR SELECTION OF TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN STRATEGIES
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has strived to make construction activities more palatable to affected residents and businesses and the traveling public by providing information and alternative travel options. To build upon its successes, Caltrans initiated a TMP Effectiveness Study to help the State and other public agencies select, implement, monitor and evaluate various TMP strategies in order to develop a comprehensive TMP to meet the objectives of specific projects.
