PURSUING POTHOLE PERFECTION
Potholes are not just a political liability. They are a technical challenge as well. A one year survival is considered respectable in the pothole-patching game, even in the most inhospitable climates. The article looks at how some cities, e.g. New York City, deal with the problem. It looks at the costs beyond the expense of filling them as well as the technological advanced with respect to the filler material and techniques for dealing with potholes.
