ANALYSIS OF RAILWAY NETWORK CAPACITY
Track capacity is an important factor for determining the feasibility of the construction of new lines, track-doubling or abolishment of existing lines. The objective of this article is to study the influence of operational and geometric characteristics of a railway line on its traffic capacity. The research covers two cases of railway line exploitation: firstly, one-way traffic; and secondly, bi-directional traffic.
