PORTS ARE THE LYNCHPINS IN CHINA'S ENERGY RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The author describes how the fortunes of both energy consuming regions and energy supplying regions turn on the port intermediary in the People's Republic of China. The Chinese central government is convinced of the merits of ports and persistent in its claim that they should be accorded high priority in the nation's development.
