STRUCTURAL STRESS FACTOR - EFFICIENCY INDEX OF FATIGUE DAMAGES REPAIRS

Structural stress factor was suggested and explained as a crucial factor for the behaviour of a repaired component damaged by fatigue. The factor represents the relation of local stress to the bearable variable stress at the cracked cross section. The efficiency of this approach was checked throughout numerous fatigue tests on specimens repaired by several most frequent crack retarding/stopping methods.
