DEVELOPMENTS IN AUSTRALIAN PORTS
Port reform continues to attract significant attention throughout Australia and each State has taken a different approach to further reforms. Of particular significance is the fact that some governments have given up some controls in their moves to corporatise their ports whilst others have imposed additional restrictions on their ports that were not previously imposed. Port reform is ongoing and a number of States are still grappling with the issue of which port authority model should be adopted in their state.
