A MARITIME MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
Describes how the "Marisat" system, when it becomes operational this year, will afford the opportunity to develop a reliable and rapid communications system for the delivery of a higher quality of health care to the crews of the American Merchant Fleet. The medical applications of the satellite system are compatible and will not require modifications for use with the proposed system.
