EARLY WARNING AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PLANNING ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIRS
Article examines some little-understood factors governing the performance of electrical machines and discusses the theory behind the development of a system for condition- monitoring which also promises an improved degree of prognostic capability. An explanation in mathematical terms, using the theorem of symmetrical components, readily demonstrates that the system is based on sound principles, and represents a radical departure from traditional electrical-contact-with-motor methods of early warning.
