DEVELOPMENT OF TRAFFIC TURNOVER AND TRANSPORT CAPACITY OF THE RAILWAYS
The article analyses and explains the technico-economic efficiency of the measures taken to increase traffic turnover and transport capacity on Soviet railways during the ninth five-year plan (1970-1975). It also mentions: the construction of new lines and doubling existing ones, the extension of stations, equipping track sections with automatic block and dispatching installations, and the introduction of advanced types of traction.
