NEW CHEVRON LUBRICANT CONTROLS FUEL-RELATED SLUDGE BUILD-UP
It has been suggested that a 10 000kW medium-speed diesel running on heavy fuel can produce 1kg of sludge every 2h. A range of lubricants that could prevent the build-up of black sludge on the component surfaces of these engines has been developed. The new generation of lubricants for trunk piston engines have been specially formulated to prevent sludge build-up and provide exceptional engine cleanliness along with very low levels of wear.
