CHANGING REQUIREMENTS - NEW THINKING BY A SUPPLIER TO BENEFIT OWNERS

This paper reveals the results of a customer satisfaction survey conducted in Europe to determine the key factors which lead to the choice of a particular supplier of machinery and equipment. Customer surveys may be interesting to suppliers but the most important factors are the reactions given and the resulting changes made, which it is hoped, will benefit the customers themselves. This paper also gives an insight to the work necessary for compliance to the EC Machinery Directive which comes into effect 1st January 1995. The Directive will cover all "moving" machinery and provide protection for operators within the European market from a safety viewpoint.
