The Italian built Worthington Rotorama pump is a mobile concrete pump which by means of a rotary valve does not segregate the mix by imposing too severe a pressure gradient on it. Thus because passage through the pump is smooth it can accept an inherently poorer and cheaper concrete. /TRRL/
