PONTOON DIVING BARGE CONCEPT FOR RAISING SUNKEN VESSELS
A unique invention aimed at raising sunken vessels from the seabed has been developed by a UK-based company. The concept is an inflatable pontoon located on a submersible barge which is fitted with all the necessary hydraulic power, propulsion and ballasting facilities. A number of barge/pontoons would be strapped around the sunken vessel with compressed air used to inflate the pontoon following which, in principle, up comes the ship.
