REVISED FUEL STANDARD INCLUDES STABILITY AND CATALYST FINES

The revised edition of ISO 8217: 1987 "Petroleum Products - Fuels (class F) -Specifications of Marine Fuels" is now available as a Draft International Standard and is expected to be published as a revised standard later this year. Various revisions and additions have been made which enhance the usefulness of the standard. Now included are parameters and test methods for both stability and catalyst fines. While these have always been recognised as important parameters, international test methods had not been finalised and did not exist when the standard was first published in 1987.
