HANJIN LNG TANKER NEARS COMPLETION
HANJIN PYEONG TAEK is a 130,000m3 LNG tanker being built at Hanjin Heavy Industries' Youngdo shipyard in Pusan, Korea for its sister company Janjin Shipping. The vessel, which will be delivered in September this year, is a membrane-type design. Two of the most notable features of the vessel are: the Gaz Transport No 96-2 cargo containment system, comprising an inner hull, primary and secondary membrane and internal tripod mast; and the economical fuel-saving steam turbine propulsion system which can provide an mcr of 28,000shp at 83rev/min.
