GEOTECHNICAL MAPPING AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF SITE INVESTIGATION - TWO CASE HISTORIES
The use of geotechnical mapping in two different engineering geological situations is discussed. The methods used in the preparation of the geotechnical plans and their subsequent uses are outlined. Recommendations are made for a simple drainage classification, an additional notation for drainage mapping is suggested and the cost effectiveness of the technique is examined. (A) /TRRL/
