MAKING CAD MULTI-USER FRIENDLY
Computer-aided design (CAD) is a valuable tool for engineers. Coupling CAD with a multi-user editing feature allows various members of a design team to work on projects simultaneously, significantly cutting design time. This article explains how an organization can make their CAD system multi-user friendly. Developing an extensive standard naming convention for objects, phasing/filtering drawings, and drawing files is required for companywide implementation. An example of a completely revamped project design is included.
