SWEDISH ELECTRONIC WEIGHING DEVICE WEIGHS VEHICLES IN MOTION
HELSVENSK ELEKTRONISK VAAG VAEGER LASTFORDON I ROERELSE
Presentation of a weighing unit for heavy vehicles named Markton approved by the National Swedish Institute for materials testing. It weighs each axle of a goods van separately while the vehicle is moving at a speed of 2.5 - 5 km/h. The vital parts of the device are a so called load unit which is a bonded wire strain gauge and an electronic measuring system. The weight is registered in the usual way but is also displayed on a screen visible to the driver who does not have to leave his seat. Technical data: total weight 2,900 kg, height 305 mm, length 2,500 mm, width 3,000 mm. Range of measurement 1-30 tons. Weight increment 100 kg. Temperature range for the weigh-bridge, from -20 to +40 degrees C and for the instrument, 0 to +40 degrees C. Mains supply 220 V. Battery supply plus or minus 12 V. /TRRL/
