The author gives a general description of recent development of construction methods and machinery in Sweden. Rock drilling, production of crushed rock aggregates, winter construction, energy saving measures for paving, stabilization, use of fiber mats, thick bituminous pavements on soft ground are examples of projects mentioned but not described in detail. Construction costs are increasing rapidly and a better utilization of machinery is suggested as a counter-measure. /TRRL/
