THE NEW WHEEL
DET NYA HJULET
This article presents a prototype vehicle called "Ilonator" equipped with a new kind of wheels. It was developed by the Swedish company Broederna Lindbergs mek Verkstad, Skellefteaa, Sweden. The vehicle has four non-turnable (non steerable) wheels, each one equipped with eight free movable rolls mounted round the rim circumference in a 45 degree angle. Each wheel has a separate hydraulic motor. The steering is achieved by making the separate wheels rotate in different directions and speeds towards each other. These wheels give the vehicle better mobility. /TRRL/
