ZIONSVILLE PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE PATH SYSTEM: A PROTOTYPE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
This synopsis describes a prototype pedestrian/bicycle path system under development for Zionsville, Indiana. Zionsville identified a need for new and safer options for non-motorized travel between community centers and residential areas of town. Using funds from the Transportation Enhancement Activities Program of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA), Zionsville is developing a prototype for the rest of the nation and improving their quality of life. This summary appears in a compendium of conference papers.
