MEASURING THE SUCCESS OF ROAD SAFETY 2000
The Road Safety 2000 Strategic Plan for Road Safety in New South Wales published in January 1992, and the 1992-94 Action Plan published in October 1992, clearly state primary and secondary targets for the overall Strategy. However, these documents did not provide clear guidelines as to how progress in achieving the more detailed strategies and programs was to be measured and reported upon. The project outlined in this report, was undertaken as part of the major review of the Road Safety 2000 Strategy conducted in 1994. The purpose of the project was to determine, through a consultative process, how best to measure the success of Road Safety 2000 at the issue and program level. (a)
