CONSIDER THE COSTS BEFORE PAVING GRAVEL ROADS
Many municipalities face the decision of whether to pave some or all of their gravel roads. Two important elements to consider before paving gravel roads are: (1) Is the roadway safe for the faster speeds paving will promote? (2) Is traffic high enough to justify paving? This article focuses on the costs of paving gravel roads to be considered by town board members and highway officials.
