RESEARCH INTO DRIVERS' VISUAL SCANNING AND DRIVING BEHAVIOUR ON STRAIGHT AND CURVED ROAD SECTIONS

ONDERZOEK NAAR HET KIJK-EN RIJGEDRAG VAN AUTOMOBILISTEN OP ENKELE GEBOGEN EN RECHTE WEGGEDEELTEN

An analysis of drivers' visual scanning and driving behaviour was made while they drove along some straight and curved roadway sections of a complex intersection. It is concluded that some parameters describing visual scanning and driving behaviour may give indications about possible non-ideal road geometries. Also, knowledge is obtained about some aspects of the main control tasks in drivings. See also IRRD no. 213412. /TRRL/
