STATISTICAL INFORMATION IN RELATION TO ACCIDENTS
Statistical information on the performance of the road transport system is essential to the management of the system's safety. Needs for adequacy and accessibility of statistical information on accidents and on the populations of vehicles and users are reviewed. Present records are deficient in many respects. Adoption by States and Territories of uniform definitions and compatible, computrized methods of storing records is a matter of urgency. /Author/
