NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE FLOW ABOUT AN UNSTEADY HYDROFOIL WITH A DEFLECTING AILERON
A 3D finite-volume simulation method is developed for unsteady hydrofoils beneath the free-surface. A curvilinear grid system is fitted both to the body surface and the free-surface, and the boundary condition on the moving aileron is rigorously implemented. The unsteady characteristics of the flows about 2D and 3D hydrofoils with a moving aileron is simulated well.
