NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN REEFER CARGO HANDLING

Several new developments in shipboard cargo handling equipment for reefer ships are described including: the S-Loader pallet handling systems; an FJ (folding-jib) deck crane for handling containers; and the Automated Seaborne Pallet Handling concept in which pallet handling in the holds is carried out fully automatically employing technology developed for use in warehouses ashore.
