MODELLING DRAINAGE EFFECTS ON SKIRT FOUNDATION
The paper describes a numerical method to predict the long term development of settlement and inclinations for a gravity platform due to subsoil consolidation. The method takes into account heterogeneous subsoil interaction with a rigid foundation in spatial conditions. The method is demonstrated to be able to simulate complicated processes of seepage and consolidation taking place below a gravity platform with a skirt foundation supplied with a drainage system. Calculation results are compared with observations from the Gullfaks C platform.
