AMERICAN SHORTLINE RAILROAD DATABASE: PROJECT REPORT AND 1993 DATA ANALYSIS
The project is a completed three-year study of American shortline railroad data systems. It consists of three phases: 1) a feasibility study; 2) initial database design, development and testing; and, 3) 1993 data collection and analysis. In Phase II a prototype software system was designed, developed, and tested. In Phase III, 1993 data were collected from the railroad industry, using the data entry software and a paper questionnaire.
