ACTION OF AIR PRESSURE ON CARRIAGE WINDOWS WHEN TRAINS PASS AT HIGH SPEED
Increasing relative speeds between two passing trains calls for re-appraisal of the bending stresses thus produced in the windows of passenger coaches. Measurement of the amount of bending allows conclusions to be drawn on the stress levels and hence on the related safety coefficients.
