SOME ASPECTS OF ACCIDENTS ON A WET ROAD SURFACE
ENIGE ASPECTEN BETREFFENDE ONGEVALLEN OP NAT WEGDEK
The combination of tyres and road surfaces determines to an important extent the risk of danger. Research can lead to technical measures for the decrease of this risk. The difficulty for the road user is that the risk of skidding varies with time and location. The estimation of the optimal braking force distribution curve is of importance with respect to braking efficiency and vehicle handling. If the braking force distribution is not optimal, the wheels can become locked. An important aspect of braking force distribution is also the order of locking of the axles.
