CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE SIGNING AND LIGHTING OF ROADWORKS (OR OTHER HIGHWAY OBSTRUCTIONS)
This code of practice was issued by the TARMAC group in conjunction with the metropolitan and Surrey police forces and Surrey County Council and was designed to aid the signing and lighting of roadworks. The different situations described are as follows: 2 lane single carriageway works at side of road; 4 lane single carriageway works at side of road; single carriageway works in centre of road; dual carriageway works occupying part of carriageway; and dual carriageway works occupying whole of carriageway. A series of diagrams is included showing the layout of various traffic signs for each situation arising. /TRRL/
