SURVEYS OF CORROSION BEHAVIOUR OF ALUMINIUM MULTI-ALLOY BRONZES
Along with mechanical properties, resistance towards surface roughness by corrosion exerts an important influence on the suitability of materials used for propellers. Aluminium bronze alloys, the most widely used material group are relatively resistant, however they differ a great deal in their behaviour. The behaviour of AlNi bronze alloys in respect of erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue has now been compared with that of MnAl bronze alloys containing zinc, namely under polarization akin to what is found under operating conditions
