PUTERI INTAN

PUTERI INTAN is the first of five LNG carrier of 130 000 m3 capacity being built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique for Petronas Tankers Sdn Bhd, Malaysia. The cargo is carried in four tanks and this is the first large gas carrier to combine the Gaz Transport Membrane system with a reduction in the number of tanks to four, as opposed to the more usual five or six tank design normally associated with this carriage system. The principal particulars of the vessel are: propulsion Kawasaki UA 360 length, overall 274.30m length, between perpendiculars 260.80 m breadth, moulded 43.30m depth, upper deck 31.40m depth, main deck 25.40m draught, design 10.85m tonnage, deadweight 62 067t speed 21 knots crew 36
