AN INVESTIGATION ON W WATER JET PROPELLER TYPE
The lower ratio of the velocity of accelerated water and the advance velocity the higher is the ideal efficiency of a simple propeller. In the case of a jet propeller an optimum value of this velocity ratio exists at which the ideal efficiency is the highest. This optimum velocity ratio and the imax are determinable. The results of investigations make it possible to choose the optimum dimensions of jet propulsion.
